Progress Log: Breeders

Hey Folks,

Development of Breed Laboratory is currently on hold, as the entire month of April was dedicated to Breeders. This shift has been quite refreshing, sometimes, taking a break can be necessary.

The plan for the coming month is to continue developing Breeders. The goal is to release a Proof of Concept demo as soon as some of the key features are ready. This demo will primarily showcase the general atmosphere and the turn-based battle system of the game.

If all goes according to plan, the month of May should provide enough time to complete and release the first build of the game.

Now, let's talk about what has been accomplished so far:

Now, the basics of the battle system explained in more detail:

Your basic attributes: Willpower, Mana, Lust

Enemies actions can drain your willpower or raise your lust which have a negative effect on your resilience, making your more vulnerable to H-Attacks.

Your Resilience is an important stat which calculates your chances on the following aspects:

Your set of actions may differ based the state you are in.

In order to avoid common turn based problems, the enemy does not go back to his position when doing an h-attack. He has an "Idle-H-Animation" on your turn and another attack H-Animation on his turn. (The Idle-H scene does not do any damage so you don't need to act fast).

The Game Over condition is similar to Breed Laboratory: On every climax, you take an unrecoverable Willpower drain. If it reaches it's maximum value, it's Game Over.

A lot of things still need to be done and added but the motivation to keep going is quite high :>

this idea sounds appealing, I like the idea of being able to overcome my enemies without killing them, while satisfying them to boot. It would be cool if it were possible to do a "pacifist run" (no kill run) this way <3

Technically yes, the plan is to have three talent trees which improve combat, magic or sex endurance. Some enemies might be easier to defeat by having sex instead of fighting them. The system is still heavily work in progress so we'll see how that works out

Finished gallery for BL please, as well as a gallery where you can spawn enemies instead of starting the cg. It's nicer to have them chase you, but you can't use multiple saves to get to different enemies in-game, so gallery enemy spawn room is needed

Nice! Can't wait to demo the game when the time comes, definitely worth the wait. Excited to see all of the enemies in the future ❤️ and the final bits of BreedLab when you get back to it, no pressure! We know it'll be good ^^
