Weight Gain Test

Greetings SizeCitizens!

This is a small weight gain test animation. While applying shapekeys to characters is a good way to keyframe and animate different kinds of expansion, the clothing needs additional work. Often times the clothing simply matches the mesh of the body, which results in a skintight look that doesn't reflect how material stretches over parts of the body.

Here, I made custom shapekeys for the shirt so that I could animate the shirt bulging apart where the model grows the most, particularly across her belly and between her breasts.

This allows me to greater control the look of an expanding body without having to do a complex or intensive cloth simulation.
