Community

June will mark my 1 year anniversary on Patreon. I’m so excited to be coming up on this milestone. I’ve taken some time to think about how I can continue to evolve my Patreon and continue to grow. Community is something that I think has been lost since the fall of Tumblr. To help try and rebuild what we have lost I have decided to dedicate June, my anniversary month, to community. When I started to brainstorm how I could better provide and create I realized that up until now this page has been very focused on me. I’ve always strived to help others find their way through kink and polyamory by sharing my experiences, but now it’s time for me to include you all in the process. I’ve come up with a few ideas to help bring a sense of community to my Patreon. I no longer want this space to feel one sided. I want everyone to have a voice here.

Forum:

While I can’t recreate certain aspects of interaction that tumblr has I can create a space for us to interact with one another better. I will be setting up a private forum for us all to communicate openly with one another. I’ll be starting certain topics of conversation, there will be guidelines of conduct, and of course I will be monitoring what is said. I’m going to be spending the rest of May trying to figure out how to make this possible. If any tech savvy folks out there have any ideas or suggestions please feel free to reach out

Submissions:

Tumblr allowed a safe space for people to share their art and express themselves. With the banning of certain content on tumblr it’s no longer easy to share with others. I want to allow submissions on my Patreon. I will be hosting a submission Sunday for anyone who wants to let their inner exhibionist out. Taking one from secretshelf’s book there will be a theme. You can submit photos, stories, and artwork. Every Sunday I’ll be sharing them on the feed with the hashtag submission.

Weekly Polls:

This is a feature I don’t utilize enough. I think collecting data is always fun. They won’t always be about what’s going on with my Patreon. I want to do fun ones like which punishment is your favorite, or favorite methods of self care.

We’ll try these out and see what gets a positive feedback and what we can do without. From all of us here at FCT (it’s just me but it sounds fancy) I really appreciate your support and can’t wait to keep growing with you all.
