It's meant to tie him into the Deep Woods aesthetic; I used forest imagery here and there to represent Will's pull toward the Woods, which is a liminal space that brings him closer to the source of his power (which is Hannibal XD ) So it represents the source that Will has been drawn to throughout the comic, which he knows he cannot escape but has spent his life trying to, and I really liked using this very natural imagery to represent the space in between worlds. The Deep Woods is Hannibal's realm and he's ruling over it :)

I feel like no detail is ever included by you without meaning, so the laurels have me super curious! Do they represent victory here like Greek/Roman times, and are tied into witchcraft aspect with the use of the fall leaves? Or more that he be big boy on campus? 🤴 Hehe I always end up with uh super interesting article suggestions on my phone after researching your details 😅🤭 If the meaning you were going for would be spoilery, or you'd rather it be left to interpretation, or just thought it looked neat, please ignore this! x3
