2022-05-04 02:45:13 +0000 UTCI've reread this comic a few too many times and I always loved Hannibal's expression on 171 when he asks Will to "stay with [him]," and then his sweet little smile and kiss on the next page. The genuine tenderness seemed like a natural response in the heat of the moment, but now that Hannibal's here lamenting Will's mortality + (I'm assuming) setting up for Will to change into something more permanent, it adds so much more depth and richness. Hannibal's loneliness and love for Will is such a beautiful thread weaving throughout the whole story.
