But, being as Billy is from a beach town in California in the 80s... What IF he was actually friends with David, and brought Steve home with him to Santa Carla to meet the boys? π Could be Billy has some secrets about his past that even El didn't see~ (also totally cool with Eddie coming along for that vacation, cause he'd get along just fine with David and his boys~)
"Billy... Are you sure he's gonna fit in here? The boys like Eddie well enough, but Steve... He's wearing a polo shirt, man."
"David, trust me. You haven't seen what he can do with a baseball bat."
I like the idea that the Boys are not really fans of Steve because he's kinda nerdy and not enough of a bad boy, but then after turning he goes FERAL when all his demogorgon-fighting instincts kick in :)
