Added 2024-10-20 17:00:10 +0000 UTCI read some of Berserk in the past few months because I kind of knew the vague plot, and was curious how the whole Eclipse scene was depicted on the actual page; I was really surprised how explicit the sexual assault was. I've been thinking a lot about how a lot of creators on patreon are having to be super careful about topics like this, but quite a lot of comics with sexual content like this are considered masterpieces and are readily available in bookstores. Heck, I saw Killing Stalking at B&N a couple months ago. I have my feelings about content that's specifically noncon, and whether some content should be so easily accessible (I returned Junji Ito's No Longer Human because of the undera/ged assaults tbh, I wish it wasn't just like THERE with all his other stuff) but my bigger feelings about the whole thing are that I'm frustrated that indie content can't touch on these topics in the same way.
