Right, I managed to finish this piece after having a few days of not feeling like crap. The progress was slow but I fucking did it!

Hey everyone, sorry for not being as active as I hoped I would be this month.
I've been experiencing massive headaches every day for the past month and a half. The first few days I thought it was something "normal" but when over-the-counter meds didn't work and days turned into weeks of constant pain I started worrying.

A little sample of what I'm currently working on. The image is intentionally small right now 'cause I wanted to focus on colors (and a bit of texture) and avoid getting stuck on details.

Let's start with a failure.
I started loving the idea and the sketch but it slowly turned into hate. I spent so much time on it, days trying to "fix it" but in the end I just had to stop! It looks stiff, I don't know how to light the piece, the anatomy and perspective is off.... Maybe I'll revisit it in the future but I can't promise anyt...

Yes! The splint is off!
Now I can move my finger a little bit, enough so I can resume working. Still hurts a bit when I grab the pen but it's manageable.
Everything should be back to normal in about 10 days :]

I had a domestic accident. I was doing the dishes yesterday evening and I cut myself when a glass broke on me.
The cut was very deep, right below the knuckle on my index finger. It needed 3 stiches and a split to immobilize the finger 🤦♂️
