I spent a little more time on this than I originally intended, but it was for the better! One of the changes I made was reshaping her belly a bit. I hope it looks convincingly very-preg; this is definitely not GM's first rodeo... and neither is it mine, but I'm still learning. 😅

Finished image of mombug with her luminous larva! I don't feel I am finished with this character, however. I do think I can get more creative with her pattern and colors, but I was nervous to move away from a certain color palette. Also more opportunity for even more fuzz textures!
