So if it's just an empty armor animated by those piligrim butterflies (those creepy tree like things flying above him which somebody decided to call "butterflies") then where did the soul come from? And why does it bleed when you hit it? Anyway, not a very hard boss. He has a very predictable moveset and would've been an easy fight if not for...
