It's kinda rare for the colored face to capture the essence of the expression better than the initial sketch, but it does, and it was the one area I was afraid wouldn't live up, and I'm so glad it did.

I'm actually shocked, I didn't know I could make the composition even better. If we look at the boy on the left, he's now leaning over a shelf full of material just to nuzzle himself against the wall, which really amplifies the desperation even more. I have some more ideas that will help make this piece even better.
