Thanks for sticking with me. I'm still planning on coming back full time in December but for now I'm doing mild work until the shoulder starts to hint at twinging then stopping. Today's work is a Rivet that will become a woodcut at MFF.

UPDATE.

My shoulder hurts. I need to get it looked at by a doctor, but I've been denied to even apply for reduced health insurance rates due to poverty until December.  (regular rates being beyond unaffordable for me). I can't get a straight answer as to why.

Done initially for commission concept but ended up not being as good as the previously finished commission so they were set to the side.

I'm not sure on the lighting here. I like the muted colors but people do tend to like brighter colors in general. Preferences in art are difficult to parse as they're both fine.

Had fun with the color palette with this one. 

Does this mean I'm back at full strength? Unfortunately not. It took all weekend and a good portion of today to finish this when it should've been a one day job. Taking it easy is driving me a bit crazy, but hopefully productive in the non art side of art.

Most sketches never make it past the sketch stage, abandoned on a random layer or file to be forgotten forever. Here's one of Velvet with Helen and Shiva of a silly idea that never finished.

You'll see that the hair always grabs the attention in the ink because most of the structure of the hair is in the inks. But with something like a back, sometimes inks don't have much to them at all. Carbene's back was a simple sketch added to with more painterly strokes to define all her little muscles.
