A chunk of real-time line work, I guess to give an idea of how long it takes if nothing else. Inking the characters is the lengthiest part of the process for sure, but I wouldn't spend so many hours on it if it wasn't at least a little bit fun.

Also technically a sneak peek of the next big Roundhouse comic, this is a quick example of the secondary step I take after drawing the initial line art. I go right in close and erase bits of line in some places, while thickening bits of line in others. The idea is to simulate bolder pen strokes, and really just to jazz up the artwork a bit.

Time is of the essence when coming up with new ideas for the next comic. I write down a script roughly, I plot out a thumbnailed page carelessly, and I sketch a few warm-up drawings haphazardly. But then the speedy progression of time is a real prick that way.
