Getting some good progress lately and the battle system is done. Now I am going back to work with AI on more 2D artworks. I am trying a new art style for this picture, aiming to hit that sweet spot between realistic and manga-ish. The result... I like it a lot. I hope soon they can make 3D model like this.

At the end I can't help and implement a system that is very similar to the original flash game Simgirls. The main focus will be the rpg battle system, however. It also plays more like a traditional JRPG; there is no time constraint, so players can relax and build up the stats as much as they want before proceeding with the main story.

I keep thinking if I would turn the fanfiction into a simple visual novel with beautiful HD 1920x1080 graphics. No gameplay, no video, just beautiful artworks and texts. Maybe adding some voice overs and music. I play around with this idea and this is what I've got.
