Only one comic a week from here on out. I've fallen behind on the Team Teen short, and now I really need to catch up.

Shot 5: An Enemy Revived

In Steven Universe, the Crystal Gems fight their fallen friends who have become corrupted and turned into monsters. The monster fought in the first "Convergence" episode was one of them.

This is the monster being regenerated, which they do if they aren't contained. I can't wait to throw this into After Effects and make it all glowy!

Watched the "Parasyte: the-maxim" marathon on Adult Swim a couple of weeks ago and this came to mind.

Every now and then, I always end up making something uncharacteristically gross.

I gotta say, working in a square format is throwing me off a little in terms of composition. I'm so used to drawing an animating in a widescreen format. Even Conroy Cat's CartoonLand was done in 4:3 format, panel wise. I might go for a more rectangular format in the future.

Star Smear and Storyboard

Star quickly turning her head, and the rough drawing featuring her next pose.

With her detailed outfit, and how her hair overlaps her eyes, Star is the hardest character to animate in these Team Teen shorts. Mainly because she takes the longest to draw. Fortunately in future episodes she doesn't appear in as many shots.
