...that I animated for Part 5 involving characters, excluding the monster (some characters removed to avoid spoilers). I'm heading into background making and lighting compositing now! Then after a couple of weeks for Philip to do the music the cartoon will be ready for you guys!

Setting this up in tweens is almost as difficult as doing it frame by frame.

Used a lot of masks to pull it off on Star, and used a few shape tweens for Finn.

Mabel Does Something!

One of the biggest complaints about Convergence at Gravity Falls is that Dipper and Mabel don't do anything. Well, they do a little bit more than gawk at all that's happening in Part 5.

It sucks that this takes place before the show's series finale, "Weirdmaggedon". They could've used things like the size changing crystal.

Shot 25 in the cartoon I'm working on features frame by frame animation. So smears should expected!

Shot 7 CAGF 5 Character Cleanup

You remember earlier I showed a pic of this scene in the layout phase. Here is the character's all cleaned up, (minus one because spoilers). Need to put Finn's arm further back too.
Also, I hate Flash's Brush tool, and how it doesn't change size when you zoom in and out. Later versions fortunately give that as an option.

Anyhoo, I got tired of doing layout, so I decided to start doing rough animation for Part 5.

A Glimpse of The Layout Phase

I was always iffy about showing this part of the production, because I'm worried people think I'm tracing.

Basically to ensure characters are perfectly on model, I created a rigs by tracing off one angle of a character's model sheet (or character art if a model sheet can't be found.) Here, layout is the process of drawing over the rig inside the ...

What would you have an episode be about? What adventures would they go on? Who would they meet? Who would become a member?

I'm going around on all social media platforms and see what they think. We might even adapt your idea!

Adding Backgrounds

I hate drawing backgrounds, I really do. Fortunately, I created a bunch of background assets to reuse in multiple shots starting Part 2, like trees, the cliff, the light patches of grass, etc. I don't think anyone's paying TOO close attention to the background, since no one's mentioned anything.

I just find it weird how his torso looks from a profile angle. You don't even see the other leg!

A Conroy Cat cartoon I made a few weeks back, and the last one for a while Team Teen is going to take top priority.

There's a Kassandra cartoon that's held up in pre-production since I still can't get to my microphone. At this rate, I haven't a clue when that will get made, but hopefully it'll come out next month.

Storyboarding the NEXT Episode

I'm taking a break from animating "Convergence at Gravity Falls Part 4" so I can storyboard Part 5. Knowing the amount of characters that'll appear in each shot will determine the amount of time it'll take to produce it, that way I can deliver Part 5 not long after Part 4 comes out.
