Things are moving along nicely in the cottage.

The beams and Aga parts were all sand blasted last weekend and the interiors are starting to be fitted out with stud walls and insulation. We are currently debating wether to replace the beams’ as they are a mixture of rotten oak and chestnut which was uncovered when they were cleaned up. T...

Sand Blasting The Cottage.

The fantastic Marty Worth from Worth sandblasting is currently tidying up all the beams, stone walls and cast iron Aga parts in the cottage. It’s very dusty so I’m keeping out of the way, but I can’t wait to show you the results soon.

Cottage Restoration Update.

Loads of exciting news as far as the renovations are concerned. The new oak floor boards and internal panelling has been ordered and will be ready in two weeks. A sneak preview of the door.

Just a little peek at the almost complete repaired and repainted door. The putty worked extremely well and you would never know the wood had rotted underneath.
