FoA hands painting - high res and process

I felt the need to do a hands study. I've attached the high res file (right click and download!), process gif, and the reference image that I used for my study :D

With process! I spent way too long on this. I just really wanted to test my painting skills...

BLY illustration - completed!

This is finally done! I added the fish and water because the title blended messily into the original bathroom background. This also shows/implies that Li Yun's dreams are just full of fish and water these days because of Bailin.

It's been a while since I've done a full illustration for these two, and I wanted to make a new cover for the Webtoon as well, so here we go!

This may seem like a fairly simple composition but damn I really spent my time noodling on this. Pls use as your head/icon/etc, no need to ask! Just crediting me would be enough, thank you for your support!

BLY - Bailin

I don't actually have a canonically set length for Bailin's tail, tbh. Its size simply depends on what looks good in its respective illustration. That's the great thing about drawing merms - you don't have to be totally anatomically correct!

I'm pretty pleased with the water splash effect. It's the first time I tried painting a water splash realistically!

It's not tooo different from the version I posted last week on my socials but I fixed some tiny roughness here and there as well as the contrast!

If this was a sports anime, Bailin would definitely be a star on the volleyball time. Idk why volleyball for Bailin in particular but it just Fits

I'm working on two particular pages in FoA that looks like this... we are going into some worldbuilding lore for this story! I may be a bit slow with the output. I'm feeling a lil burn out but i'm hoping that's just exhaustion and not real burn out ahaha
