It's written. Gonna sleep on it, don't know if I'll narrate it tomorrow as I'm going to go see 1917 with Family. Of the previous ideas I listed, decided to go through with talking about Need for Speed: Heat. Not specifically the game, though I do have hours and hours of footage from my playthrough already recorded. Instead, it's about roadblocki...

Those who've not heard about this program, are probably thinking the same thing.

Really, Ray? A Nickelodeon show?

I don't blame you. At first glance, a bunch of kids with magic powers seems kinda lame. Like a YA novel before those became such hot sellers. But I'd heard people of all ages, demographics, and interests, praise ...

Hugo Martin's a treasure.

DOOM's Creative Director is one of the best podcasts guests you can have, as to me, confirmed by his most recent appearance on NoClip's Podcast. Obviously, much of his time was spent talking about ID's anticipated sequel. How this new game resolves balancing issues, instructs players, and makes them earn the power...

Thoughts on Alpha Protocol? Have you ever considered doing a 'years later' or 'finally played' on it?

Played it years ago and couldn't help but fall in love with it. Game's utterly broken, horrendously balanced, and has all the visual appeal of a Baboon's backside. But the novelty of an Esp...

Figures that everything would be going swell until I reached the rendering process. So, it looks like my move to DaVinciResolve won't be secured until this rendering is dealt with. I've stayed up past 5am attempting to sort out this mess, only to have the same audio bug each time, even though when ordering the video to render only this bit in pa...

Raycevick Recommends: Metropol by Lunatic Calm

You've heard one song on this album before. Whether it's from the Matrix, Spiderman (2002) Trailer, Motorstorm, or slew of Youtube videos during the site's birth, Lunatic Calm's "Leave You Far Behind" is a classic, and one of my personal favorites of all time. But that's just one song, one song that doesn't at all represent the rest of this albu...

New Video Going Up Tuesday!

I really wanted to complete it today, but After Effects crashes and learning Resolve ate up that time. Should be completed tomorrow before I visit family for Dinner though, and Uploaded the following morning, should I escape the Youtube's police department. After that, I'll immediately be working on one of four projects, but most likely the one ...

Recently, I managed to get F1 2010 running on my computer for a future project, by future I mean over six months from now. Something which immediately stood out however is that period of time when games completely abandoned vibrant colors in the pursuit of... actually, what was it for?

Grittiness?

F1 2010 is anything but gritty...

Would you consider looking at Dark Souls games and the Soulslike games that have been popping up over the years? I’m interested in what your thoughts on the subject.

Raycevick Recommends: Halo: The Fall of Reach OST by Tom Salta

Halo: The Fall of Reach movie is really, really... bad. I prefer to use more sophisticated descriptions when a film doesn't live up to its potential but 2015's animated recreation of Eric Nylund's book (or rather, a part of it) is terribly acted, poorly animated, and is consumed more like a Youtube Playlist of Short-Films rather than a cohesive ...

Randomly Mine: Highs & Lows

There's really no better time to hop into gaming, PC in particular. To play games at the optimal 1080p60fps experience, doesn't require cutting edge hardware, not even close. Entry Quad-Core processors by AMD & Intel combined with a GTX 1060 or RX 580 is enough to play most of everything that matters, and with there being actual competition ...

What are your top 3 character archetypes?

I think the lovable rogue is in everybody's top three character archetypes. There's just an admiration in seeing someone who's lawless yet compassionate. Han Solo's easily the most famous, but I didn't grow up with Star Wars. Bioware games come to my mind. ...

Raycevick Recommendations: Slipstream

To this day, legally obtaining a copy of Outrun Coast 2 Coast for your PC is quite difficult, and not even highly recommended as the port for Coast 2 Coast is quite sloppy, or... slippery.

Doing so has also become ever more pointless, because Slipstream exists, and frankly does a better job than even the original upon wh...

Potential Scripts

In the spirit of making this Patreon more active and reactive, we're going to open my sketch book to a page I ordinarily don't share with anyone, the ideas. Things I've written a few paragraphs about, or some opening words in my head. They range all over the place, and I can't expose what the next Years Later project is as its one I've wanted to...

Making Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare... 12 Years Later

There's not been one video I've made without adjustments, where a Thesaurus is never opened, and a sentence isn't deleted. When opening one of my scripts, yellow highlighter would be considered, traditional. Often indicating that either I messed up a line and need to rerecord it, or I tweaked a line... and need to rerecord it.

No Pause!

Hey everybody,

It's been a few weeks since I've last reported anything and traditionally that means I'm going to be pausing the Patreon due to not working enough to get projects released. However, I'm pleased to say we're in the home stretch.

Update & Pause

Hello everybody,

It’s been a while hasn’t it? September 1st, I officially assigned this project to myself, and here I am at the official deadline with more work to do.

Now a question I get is if I’m working, why pause? Why deny donations when I’m supposedly working around the clock. And the reason is I...

Thoughts on Modern Warfare (2019)

This game feels absolutely brilliant.

It isn’t. At least, I wouldn’t go that far yet. Modern Warfare on the surface features the traditional set of perks, killstreaks, weapon customization, and game-modes you’ve come to expect from COD that h...

Modern Warfare Impressions Tomorrow

Good afternoon everybody,

Just came by to quickly elaborate that the Modern Warfare Impressions I said to post this week is gonna be out tomorrow. Lack of sleep from the nights of research for the original Modern Warfare, COD4 (that's not confusing), left less time than expected.

Update: Pauses and Partnerships

Greetings everybody

It’s hardly a secret as I showed an iconic scene during my last video, but I am currently working on a Years Later for COD4 and naturally, the ambition has leap frogged Metro. I’m not covering two entirely separate games this time, but with the amount of versions, mods, and history behind the game’s development, i...

I'm sorry that I didn't communicate this earlier, got lost in the editing process. But I'm aiming for this video to be out on the weekend. Originally, it was supposed to rapidly follow up Siege Customs, but then I ended up rewriting the script three times.

This Month, Future Projects, and Collaborations.

Greetings everybody,

Free to Play (Kind Of)

There’s a lot of reasons people doubt Free to Play games. Be it their monetization, perpetual grind, or lacking the visual appeal and polish of full-priced games. An Ending

The general sentiment I’ve been getting from E3 this year is while there were great games revealed, announcements made, and good people, something seemed off. It’s something even I, someone who isn’t as invested in the show couldn’t help but feel. It puzzled me as I was generally pleased with the games, a...
