All three of these characters' names are inspired by occultists from the early twentieth century. Staircrawley is the easiest one to figure out. Look back on 399 to see Xavier Hoardblemish's real name. MacMath is quite a bit more obscure, but if you've read up on the history of the Golden Dawn, you'll know who I was thinking of.
