It's done! I'm incredibly proud of this one. It was a ton of work, but the results are better than I could have hoped. I've also switched file hosts to Pixeldrain.

Development is going well. I've been worknig on upscaling and cleaning images, and making the art for the last few events. It's taking a while, but I'm hoping it will be worth it. I'm up to 333 high-resolution event images now, and need to create about 30-40 more to be done. I've also completed the bug fixes that will go into this patch.

I've been working hard on the new events (and put the Patreon income to good use on a 4090 to speed up image generation). Here are some of my favorite SFW intros, including the Geese, the Hitchhiker, and the Mechanical Masters.
This is taking a while because of the sheer number of events (and because I'm using this opportunity to improve t...

One of the best things about this patch is that I can actually show progress. Here are some of the NSFW event images. I'm incredibly happy with how these are turning out (especially with how much creative freedom this approach gives me), and can't wait to get back to work.

I've been thinking a lot about overall direction recently, and have come to the conclusion that the 3D events aren't worth it. I just don't have the skill set to do it well, and can't afford the AAA-grade contracting to make it good. AI though, that's another story.
0.7 will change the art for the major events to 2D. Some of you might rec...

Here it is. Not much in the change log this time, but that's because I spent most of the time on un-sexy optimizations. The game should run much better now.

In addition to the old white sky, you can now choose different sky colors for different floors. I really like how this turned out. It can really change the character of the station.
This also means that all of the new features are now written. All that's left is setting up all the animations on the new furniture items, and doing the final ...

The main reason I made the station taller in SM2 was to allow grander furniture items, and I'm happy to say that I've got a good handle on the ones that will be included in this patch. There are ~20 new or remodeled furniture items in all (on top of the decor items from SM1, which are also being imported). Some highlights are:
- The th...

Part of this patch is an overhaul of the station graphics. The biggest problem with the models I made for the original Stationmaster was that I approached them without any real plan. Thankfully, Stable Diffusion exists now. It's helped me clarify some things I want to change about the content of several of the rooms. Attached are some of my favo...

I finally managed to switch pretty much everything over to the newer Universal Render Pipeline, which has improved lighting across the board. I particularly notice the difference in characters, but everything is improved for the change. I'm still finding pink textures here and there, but fewer and fewer as time goes on.
I've also finished ...

Break time is over, and it looks like there isn't going to need to be a hotfix on this one, so it's time to start thinking about features for 0.4.
As always this early, all of these will come with some level of quality-of-life update, because that's a big chunk of my list. Probably even the rules assistant.

Clothing was a lot fiddier than I thought with the custom character engine, but I'm happy to report that it's all working now. This build has gotten a little bit bigger for all the new models and textures, but I think it should be worth it.

After a pretty bumpy road, I managed to get the clothing and hair to import successfully and show without creating Lovecraftian nightmare people (In game development, everyone is perpetually on the precipice of exploding).
I still have a few more things to do (the UI still need some work), but the progress has been pretty encouraging. Goin...

One of the biggest complaints that I've gotten so far about this game has been the tedium of managing large numbers of people. I'm happy to say that I've made some improvements on that front. Bulk assignment (combined with the filtering) allows you to apply fairly sophisticated rules on the fly, which should complement the rules assistant nicely...

Despite how it may look, this is actually good news. After a lot of work with Daz, I figured out a pipeline that has allowed me to import a ton of clothing into the new character engine.

I really appreciate the quality and quantity of bug reports. There are some I definitely should have spotted, but you know what they say. If you're not embarassed by the first version of your product, you released it too late. Here's a less-alpha 0.2 version (for everone who has access to 0.1, because it doesn't feel right to hold back bugfixes)...

Sorry about the incredibly long delay for this update. I've been working on the game quite a bit, but just kept getting further and further behind on the community stuff.

It's pretty much been more of the same. I count 14 remaining code tasks, most of which are pretty small. Unfortunately, there are 56 UI, art, and testing tasks that have to be done slowly, and I'm sure a lot of bugs will come out of those.
I also decided to rewrite a couple of the weaker training events, and I have to say it feels re...

I'm making some pretty big changes to the galaxy map, and finally have something to show. It now has a lot more strategy, and is less of an interface for a spreadsheet.
