HYDRA NEWS!

HYDRA NEWS!

The release of the first alpha version is just days away (I think it's July 29th.). I don't plan to postpone anything, I manage to keep development as planned.

As I promised earlier, today I want to show you the second part of the diagnostics - CCD. The diagnostics in CTR was not perfect because it only evaluated the...

HYDRA - automatic search best voltage ?

At the moment HYDRA already contains 3 presets of voltages.
I want to add an automatic best volt search function that will take into account your cooling system. What controls would you like to see for this feature? A temperature threshold setting? Maybe something else ? Or do you have any other ideas?

PROJECT HYDRA (pdf document)

Finally, I want to share with you some information about the new project. Summer is a time of rest, but not for me. I want to reassure you that the development of the new project is progressing as planned. The current concept is not final, but it is close to what I want to provide for you.

This project is not a rebranding. I take a new a...

NEW "CTR"?

This may come as a surprise to some of you. I am preparing a global rebranding of CTR with a new, more user-friendly interface and new features. This is a completely new platform. The code name of the project is HYDRA. One head is good, but several heads are better. This is a direct hint at the possibilities. For now, the projec...

CTR 2.1 RC6 (ver.20) - experimental build (GAME MODE)

I continue to develop a game profile. I believe that each profile should have its own purpose. This will allow higher optimization for each type of task. I am also attaching a small presentation on manual debugging of profiles to the post.

CTR requirements:

• Stable DRAM.
• Disabled Curve Optimizer (in BIOS)....

CTR 2.1 RC6 (ver.18) - experimental build (GAME MODE)

I suggest checking out the new mode for gamers. There is no profile switching, but there is a dynamic frequency change.  The profile is turned on automatically if the video core load is more than 75%. In this mode there is a frequency hold, i.e. the processor will fight with lags and frequecy droop. The voltage profile is lower by 100mV tha...

CTR 2.1 RC6 (ver.13) - tomorrow!

I was able to improve the stability of the application. The frequency fluctuations have also been reduced. I also added basic support for AIDA64. The update will be available here and through the automatic update system.

Why is there a difficulty? There are 3 types of load: ultra light, medium and AVX. Each dynamic profile has a number of ...

Problem solving. Perfomance in CPU-Z.

Once again, I received emails about CTR not predicting what the user was thinking. I want to make an important note.

CTR is not a program that predicts the future. CTR does not know what you want until you make a change to CTR. CTR is a sandbox, in which you can create any configuration of any needs....

Plans for this month.

1) I am currently working on version 24, which will improve diagnostics, OB and system stability.

2) Closer to the end of the month you will see RC6, which contains dynamic voltages for P1 and an improved mode of dynamic profiles (more frequency at the same voltage for certain load types).

3) I know that some of you are very...

Video instruction + CTR 2.1 RC5 ver. 18 today

To make it easier for you to interact with CTR, from today I will start publishing short videos with subtitles and explanations. We'll end up with a little encyclopedia that can answer most questions.

Trust me, it's very easy.

I've also prepared a fix (ver. 18). It will be available later today.

CTR 2.1 RC5 (ver.17) - ready for download!

It was one of the most difficult months for me. The development of the auto-boost analog proved that a unique technology is extremely difficult to recreate quickly. Next month is the calibration of the dynamic profiles. Also next month you will see dynamic voltage(!) for the P1 profile (you will be able to adjust in which VID ra...

CTR 2.1 RC5 ver. 14 - today's testing (3 pic)

Thank you all for your patience and help. Thanks to your results, I have been able to calibrate RC5. Today I have started the final testing of build 14 and you will be able to download it soon. I think it will be this Friday.

As a test processor I chose the hot 5800X and I was able to lower the temperature to 9(!) degrees with the standard...

CTR 2.1 RC5 - release delay (few days)

Guys, I want to be honest with you, my testing team and I did not have time to finish testing. Scope of changes is so large that we will need a few more days to approve the build for release. BUT. If there are those of you who want to participate in this testing - I will provide a build. Message me on Discord ;)

CTR 2.1 RC5 - release on Friday!

RC5 development is nearing completion. This is a very massive update with a huge number of changes and I am happy to present it to you soon. Each of you will be able to get the most out of your samples, but don't forget that the results are affected by the cooling system and motherboard.

I would also like to note that the CTR 2.1 ver...

Dynamic PX. Higher frequency. More stable operation. Lower temperature.

This video compares Dynamic PX with the stock BOOST performance.
HWINFO logging allows to show the dynamics of frequency change, from 4850MHz (base for PX MID) to 5000MHz (peak)  on 4 threads.

Why can't CO do that? CO always works at standard voltage, it affects the telemetry values of the processor (cheats), due to which it achie...
