Hugh Grant

Hugh Grant

I thought I would post this in honor of Hugh Grant's new performance in Heretic. I grew up with Grant movies as a kid, so I have a special place in my heart for him. This Golden Globe acceptance speech is honestly one of the funniest I've seen.

Boris Karloff and Guac

Boris Karloff and Guac

As a Texican, I am always skeptical when the English say they have a good recipe for Mexican food. Particularly in the time period of Boris Karloff. I am putting my dad on the spot but...he makes the best Guacamole in the world. These are just facts lol. I came to him with this recipe one time and we decided to make it just for giggles. Of cours...

Wow. I hated it. Who has seen this film? Why is it getting so much Oscar buzz? Good lord.

Had A Feeling Quentin Would Feel This Way

Had A Feeling Quentin Would Feel This Way

I agree with a lot of what he says here despite my major criticisms, and I've viewed a lot of the current backlash to be the typical, hot headed, knee-jerk reaction you tend to get in these situations. But once the smoke clears, there will be plenty in this film to debate and discuss in the future.

SIGNS

I watched Signs a few weeks ago for the first time in a while. I always knew it was silly from the beginning, but wow. We all love to joke about the Oscar Isaac's line "Somehow Palpatine returned" in Rise of Skywalker....but frankly, I feel we need to make special consideration of Mel Gibson's line "they seem to have trouble with pantry doors." ...

Funny Story

The other day my co-worker said he was visiting his little sister at his parent's house. She was watching movie reviews on her computer. He saw my face on her screen. He goes "Hey...did you know I work with her?" She goes "yeah right." He shrugs...and says "okay, fine" and then walked away. XD classic.

SMILE 2

Just saw it. What a pleasant surprise! This is an example of a film that took the original film, and improved on it in nearly every single way. More ambition, creativity, much stronger characters, and the stakes are raised significantly. Og was a schematic and rather poor excuse for mental health commentary, but had its moments of silly camp and...

Tim Dillon and Joaquin Phoenix

Tim Dillon and Joaquin Phoenix

I still think it was hilarious that Tim Dillon was in JOKER. We talked about it last night during the watch party, so sorry to be redundant for those of you who were there. All I could think of during his part was back when Joaquin Phoenix won the Oscar as Joker originally. And how Tim roasted his entire acceptance speech on his podcast. Reminds...

My incredible interpretation of A New Hope in 1997, where my brother and I play all the parts. And I feed him the lines lol.

Tim Dillon....had a cameo in JOKER. Not kidding. I really hope he brings this up on the podcast this weekend. XD

Who has seen the first one from last year and what did you think of it? I didn't like it much, but there were things I enjoyed in it. Weirdly I do want to see the sequel.

15 Years of Youtube

15 Years of Youtube

I just realized that this most recent August would've marked my 15 year Anniversary being on Youtube. I remember my dad took this pic of me in my old bedroom, right around the time I started. As you can see by the LOTR, Star Wars, Figure skating collages/posters, that it's definitely the room of my childhood lol.

Weird so much time has g...

Hot Ones Diddy Stories

Hot Ones Diddy Stories

People keep going back to the Ashton Kutcher Hot Ones episode where he vaguely recalls his time with Diddy, without sharing anything at all. lol...But I kept thinking about this interview instead, which is so much better! Sean interviews a young MGK from one of the very first Hot Ones episodes. This is obviously...pre Eminem diss, pre pop-cross...

Diddy

I've been addicted to the whole Diddy saga/downfall. Truly what is happening here is unprecedented. All the big media stories throughout the years exposing people like OJ, Bill Cosby, Harvey Weinstein, Epstein...do not hold a candle to the seriousness of this one (with exception of maaaybe Epstein). This is massive, and I am truly trying to soak...

CAVA

Does anyone else have this restaurant on nearly every highly developed city street corner? Initially these were Zoe's Kitchens chain restaurants that were eventually bought out. I loooved Zoe's back in the day. They had a lot more variety, and it was more a lunch place. CAVA is the more quick-and-go Greek/Mediterranean version of a Chipotle. Wra...

SPEAK NO EVIL

How many of you have seen the original versus the remake? I’ve seen both now. I have many opinions lol. But I was curious to hear what others thought. Both films miss the mark for different reasons for me. There’s a good film somewhere in between.

Joaquin Phoenix

I saw an interview with director James Gray a while ago, where he talked about Joaquin and his extraordinary improvisational skills while filming specific scenes from THE IMMIGRANT. I have several classic reviews I’d like to tackle within the next year if I have time. One of them would be a Kurosawa film. The only review for a film of his that I’ve done was RAN. One of my favorites. But if I were to do another, what would you like to see?

TOKYO DRIFT

I find it hilarious that he suggested starting with Tokyo Drift. I must admit to you all that I've only seen two Fast and Furious movies. 2 Fast 2 Furious, and Toyko Drift. I've seen Tokyo Drift a ridiculous amount of times. I still listen to the soundtrack lol. I always thought the film was kinda underrated.
