The ever wonderful Claire "shoomlah" Hummel shared a technique she does with her sketches and I wanted to try it out on this sketch. Style looks a little different here but I'm like, fuck style, its about expression! Original pencil sketch and inspo of 90s Jenny Shimizu photos follow.

I keep going in about this mysterious comic I'm working on but we haven't said what it is. We're not saying. Not yet, anyway. However:  

- It's set after ALYX, before HL2. 

- It covers one night in Alyx's life. Sort of. 

- There will be a new character. 

- The past is not dead.

I was commissioned by Maarten "marnamai" Frooninckx to do the cover art for his new HLA map. I not gonna spoil the story, so if you can, go and play it! This one was fun to do. Maarten wanted something in the style of my Boreal Alyph Alyx concept and i was happy to do so. I still love that painting and the project that once was.

I guess this is my first official post with content. Here's the teaser image I made for the one-shot comic Ross J. Gardner of "A Place in the West" and I are making!  We're so excited to be working on this and we can't wait to share it.
