I'm surprised I didn't think about it sooner, dumb me... instead of trying different paint mixtures on pieces of styrene I could've just tested it in photoshop to see which color shades go...

The left side should be pretty accurate as I reproduced the chipped pattern using available photos and made a lineart in Photoshop.
